You meet at 8am and drive about 45 minutes to Dos Ojos, the cenote system named for its two neighboring sinkholes that form the entrance to an extensive underground network. Once on site, you prepare your equipment and complete a full safety inspection before a detailed briefing on the two routes you'll dive.

The first dive takes you into one of the two lines — either Barbie Line with its dramatic stalactites and the light beams the route is famous for, or Bat Cave, a cavern dive beneath a dome where bats roost above the water. After surfacing and a surface interval determined by your first dive's profile, you descend into the second route.
