You get picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned van and driven to the marina in Los Cabos, where you meet your guide and board a fast inflatable boat. The boat heads into the Sea of Cortez toward Land's End and the Arch, passing Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach along the way: stops built in for photos and to orient you to the coastline before the jet ski portion starts. The ride out takes you past the exclusive resorts and private homes that line the shore, giving you a sense of the geography you'll cover on the water.
Once you reach the jet ski zone, you transfer to a powerful double jet ski: one machine for two people, with one person driving and one riding along. After a short safety presentation, you follow your guide along the rocky coastline in radio communication the whole time. The guide points out ocean life as you move: dolphins are common, and whales show up in the winter months. You then head out into the open ocean for the main ride, where the jet ski hits the waves at speed before turning back toward the boat.
The return to the marina includes a freshly prepared snack and cold beverages to cool down after the ride. Lifejackets are mandatory and provided. The whole experience runs about two hours from start to finish, including the boat portion, the safety briefing, and the jet ski ride itself.
