The experience

You arrive at the dock and board your own private boat with a skipper who knows the waters around Comino. The tour runs 2 to 4 hours depending on which option you book, and the route is yours to shape. Tell the skipper whether you want to prioritize swimming, snorkeling, sightseeing or a mix. The boat carries snorkeling equipment, life jackets, an ice box stocked with bottled water, and a fresh water shower, so you don't need to bring or arrange those separately.

The Blue Lagoon is the headline stop: turquoise water so clear you see the white sand beneath you, and shallow enough to stand. The skipper also takes you to Crystal Lagoon, a quieter anchorage ringed by dramatic cliffs where the snorkeling is strong and the crowds are thin. Along Comino's rugged coastline, you explore sea caves carved into the rock. Some you can paddle into, others you view from the boat. The Tower of Santa Marija, built in the 17th century, sits on a ridge above. The skipper points it out and you get the views without having to climb.
