Four of Japan's most photographed landmarks in a single day

A guided day tour from Osaka visiting Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine and Nara Park, with a live English or Chinese-speaking guide, transport between sites and temple admission included. The itinerary spans roughly nine to ten hours and covers four of Japan's most celebrated cultural destinations. You can add Kobe Beef Shabu-Shabu lunch in Arashiyama or explore on your own; the remaining time accounts for travel between each stop.

9h–10h

Step-by-step itinerary

Visit Kyoto and Nara highlights

  • Visit Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion
  • Explore Arashiyama district
  • Walk through Fushimi Inari torii gates
  • Stroll and feed deer at Nara Park

The Experience

Kinkaku-ji opens the day—the Golden Pavilion reflected in Mirror Pond, its gold-leaf exterior framed by landscaped gardens that shift with the season. From there the route moves to Arashiyama, the riverside district where traditional streets and cafés line the water. If you've chosen the lunch option, you'll sit down to Kobe Beef Shabu-Shabu; if not, the time is yours to wander the shops and smaller temples nearby.

Fushimi Inari Taisha comes next, the shrine famous for thousands of vermilion torii gates stacked so densely they form tunnels through the forested hillside. You walk beneath them, moving deeper into the shrine's grounds—one of Japan's most photographed spiritual sites. (Note: this stop may be unavailable January 1–5 due to traffic restrictions.) The day closes at Nara Park, where hundreds of free-roaming deer graze openly and approach visitors. You feed them, move through the spacious grounds, and experience the calm that has drawn travelers to Nara for centuries.

Your guide speaks English or Chinese throughout, and the vehicle adjusts to your group size. Transport between attractions accounts for roughly an hour of the total duration; the rest is time at each site. Arrive ten minutes before departure—the tour leaves on schedule.

What’s included

  • Your guide in English or Chinese.
  • transport in a vehicle sized to your group.
  • admission to Kinkaku-ji Temple.

Is this one for you?Book the tour with lunch if you want a full cultural immersion without breaking the day to find a restaurant; choose without lunch if you'd rather spend that time exploring Arashiyama's cafés and side streets at your own pace. Either way, the four stops and the guide's knowledge of each site stay the same.
