The experience
You arrive at a Sant'Agnello home and spend the afternoon or morning cooking alongside your host: a real local who opens their kitchen to curious travelers. The show cooking is the heart of it: you watch techniques, ask questions, and see how the dishes come together from scratch. This is not a demonstration you sit through. You're in the space where the work happens, learning how a family has made these recipes for years.
After the cooking, you move to the table for a four-course meal: a seasonal starter, fresh pasta, a main course with side dish, and dessert. Water, a selection of red and white wines from regional cellars, and coffee come with it. The recipes belong to the host's family cookbook. The kind of food that does not appear in restaurants because it lives in homes. You eat what you watched being made, and you eat it in the company of someone who knows why each step matters.
The experience runs four hours. You choose between a morning or afternoon slot, and the host speaks English or Italian. Public transportation options are nearby if you need them to reach the home.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 8 years); Infant (under 4): free.
What exactly do I cook during the show cooking part?
You watch your host prepare the dishes that make up your meal: the pasta, the main course, and the starter. The focus is on technique and the stories behind each recipe, not on you taking over the cooking yourself.
Are the wines included in the price, or do I pay extra for them?
The wines are included. You get a selection of red and white wines from regional cellars, plus water and coffee, all part of the four-course meal.
How does Cesarine choose the hosts who run these experiences?
Cesarine is Italy's oldest network of home cooks, operating in more than 500 cities. The hosts are passionate and welcoming locals who open their own homes and cook from their family recipes. They are vetted members of the network.
Can I request specific dietary needs or allergies ahead of time?
The experience is built around the host's family recipes and the four-course menu structure. Reach out when you book to discuss any dietary requirements. The host may be able to adapt within those constraints.
What's the difference between the morning and afternoon experience?
Both run four hours and include the same show cooking and four-course meal. The morning experience starts earlier in the day. The afternoon one is later. Choose whichever fits the rest of your schedule on the Amalfi Coast.
