You make the pasta, not watch someone else make it.

A private pasta-making class in a Turin home where you learn to prepare three authentic regional recipes (Agnolotti, Pumpkin Gnocchi, or Lasagne all'Albese) under the guidance of a Cesarina, then taste what you've made with local wines. Each participant has their own workstation and takes home a Cesarine apron and shopping bag.

The experience

Three hours in a Cesarina's home means three pasta recipes you'll actually make, not watch being made. You get your own workstation with all the utensils and ingredients ready, and the Cesarina walks you through the regional techniques: the folds, the ratios, the small moves that separate a dish that works from one that doesn't. The class runs morning or afternoon depending on what fits your schedule, and the address comes through once you've booked.

After you've finished cooking, you sit down to taste everything you've made. The meal comes with a selection of red and white wines from regional cellars (the Cesarine source only wines from Piedmont) plus Prosecco and nibbles at the start, just like a typical Italian aperitivo. Water and coffee round it out. You leave with the official Cesarine apron and a shopping bag, both branded with the network's name.

Cesarine is Italy's oldest network of home cooks, now over 1,000 strong across more than 120 cities. Each one is selected by experts and opens their own kitchen to travelers. The setup means you're learning in a real home kitchen from someone who cooks this way every day, not in a commercial studio.

Live guide in English and Italian.

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 8 years); Infant (under 4): free.

What pasta dishes do I actually make in the class?

You choose from traditional Piedmont recipes: Agnolotti, Pumpkin Gnocchi, or Lasagne all'Albese. The Cesarina teaches you three of these, and you prepare each one at your own workstation during the class.

Do I need cooking experience to join the class?

No prior experience is required. The Cesarina teaches the techniques from the start and guides you through each step. The class is designed so you can put your skills to the test, whether you're a beginner or you cook at home already.

Is the class really in someone's home, or is it in a kitchen studio?

It's in the Cesarina's own home. You'll receive the exact address once your booking is confirmed. Public transportation options are available nearby if you don't have a car.

What happens after we finish cooking?

You taste everything you've prepared, seated together with the Cesarina. The tasting includes a selection of red and white wines from Piedmont cellars, plus Prosecco and nibbles at the start of the class, water, and coffee.

How many people can join the class at once?

The class is private, so it's just you and anyone in your group. Each participant gets their own workstation, so the size stays small and hands-on.
