The experience

The boat leaves Positano and works its way along the coast, passing the dramatic cliffs and fishing villages that make the Amalfi Coast famous. You'll stop at Praiano, a small fishing village where you can swim in the pirate grotto and hear the history of the beach. It dates back to the Roman emperor Tiberio. The route takes in a fjord known for world diving championships, where you'll swim and photograph the rock formations.

Conca dei Marini comes next, with its crystalline water and the natural stone arch called the Elephant's Arch, where couples traditionally exchange a kiss. The Emerald Grotto sits nearby. Entry costs five euros extra if you want to go inside. From there, the boat heads to Amalfi town, and you decide how long to stay: long enough to see the cathedral, visit the old paper mill, or taste the local limoncello. On the return journey, there's another swim stop, plus an aperitivo and fresh fruit.

Breakfast arrives on board in the morning: soft drinks, prosecco, water, limoncello, bruschette, taralli crackers, olives and cheese. Snorkeling equipment, towels, WiFi and a restroom are all on the boat. The guide speaks your language and can adjust the pace and stops to what you want. The whole day is yours alone.
