The experience

The boat leaves Sorrento at 9:30 AM and heads south along the coast, passing Marina Grande before stopping at Queen Giovanna's Baths. A Roman ruin surrounded by turquoise water where you swim among the remains of the oldest villa on the coast. The route then traces Punta Campanella, the point where the Sorrento Peninsula meets the Amalfi Coast, before reaching a working fishing village where the water is shallow and clear enough to see the seabed. You get an hour to swim here, then another hour at one of the coast's most beautiful beaches, where snorkeling is strong.

Positano comes next. You're dropped ashore for a couple of hours to walk the cliff-side town and eat at a waterside restaurant (lunch is on you, though the captain can suggest spots). After Positano, the boat cruises toward Capri, passing under the Faraglioni Rocks, three dramatic stone arches that rise straight from the sea. At Li Galli, a small island group, you jump in again for snorkeling. The day ends with two stops around Capri: Marina Piccola, where you can explore the main town for a few hours, and the Green Grotto, where you swim inside a sea cave for half an hour. The final stop is the Blue Grotto. You transfer to a small rowing boat (ticket purchased on arrival) and drift into the cave to see the water turn electric blue as light reflects off the rocks below.

Because this is a private tour, your captain adjusts the schedule to your pace and preferences. If you want longer at one stop or to skip another, the day reshapes around it.
