The experience

Seven to eight hours on the water means you see the full arc of Capri's coastline without rushing. The yacht picks you up from Sorrento and heads to the Blue Grotto first: the most famous of the island's sea caves, where filtered light turns the water a deep blue. From there you move along the coast to the White Grotto, where white stalactites hang from the roof, then the Green Grotto, where the water takes on its color from how the light bounces off the rock. The Baths of Queen Giovanna, ancient ruins of Pollio Felice's villa perched on a rock layer off Capo di Sorrento, sits in the middle of the sea and marks another stop on the route.

Between the caves, you choose what happens next. Bring snorkeling equipment aboard and drop into the water whenever the boat anchors, or stay on deck with a towel and a drink: soft drinks and a bottle of prosecco with snacks come with the booking. The crew is there to manage the boat and answer questions, but the itinerary bends to what you want. If you want lunch, they can arrange a stop at a seaside restaurant in Capri town. If you'd rather skip it and spend more time in the water, that works too. The Coral Grotto and the Lighthouse of Punta Carena round out the route, and Via Camerelle, Capri's most famous shopping street, is there if you want to walk the island for an hour.

A restroom is on board, and the yacht itself is equipped for comfort. Infants and small children can travel in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available. The crew speaks English and knows the water well enough to adjust the day if conditions change or if you find a spot worth lingering in.

Top questions

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

What is the Blue Grotto and why does the water look that color?

The Blue Grotto is Capri's most famous sea cave, with a partially submerged opening where external light filters in and creates a distinctive deep blue shade: the effect of how the light reflects inside the cave. It's a main stop on the tour.

Can I swim and snorkel during the tour, or is it just sightseeing from the boat?

You can swim and snorkel whenever the yacht anchors. Snorkeling equipment is included, and you choose whether to enter the water or stay on deck with a drink and a towel.

Is lunch included, or do I need to pay extra?

Lunch is not included in the base tour price. If you want to eat at a seaside restaurant in Capri, the crew can arrange a stop, and you pay the restaurant directly.

How does the crew manage the boat while I'm swimming?

A professional English-speaking crew stays with the yacht at all times. They handle navigation and anchoring so you can focus on the water and the caves.

What happens if the weather changes or I want to skip a cave?

The tour duration and stops at individual places may change based on conditions. The crew has the flexibility to adjust the itinerary, and you can request to skip a stop or linger longer at a cave you prefer.
