The experience
The boat leaves Sorrento and heads toward Capri, where the first major stop is the Blue Grotto: a sea cave with water so clear and light that it glows electric blue inside. Entry costs 18 euros, paid on arrival, and the wait runs about 30 minutes, but the cave itself is Capri's signature sight. From there the route moves to the Green Grotto for a proper swim stop in water clear enough to see the seabed. The White Grotto follows, another sea cave with a heart carved into the rock. You'll also pass the Faraglioni, Capri's famous rock formations in Marina Piccola, and stop at Li Galli, a private island accessible only by boat where you can swim again.
The Amalfi Coast leg includes Positano, a vertical village of pastel houses built into the cliffs, and the Baths of Queen Giovanna, an old Roman site on the Sorrento coast where the water is clear and the history is visible in the stone. A natural arch on the Amalfi side offers a photo stop, and Punta Campanella marks the boundary between the two coasts. Throughout the day, the skipper stops for swimming in open water where snorkeling is possible. An aperitif is served during one of these breaks. The boat carries life jackets for adults and children, and the skipper handles navigation so you focus on the water and the caves.
How long the day lasts depends on which option you book: half-day runs hit the highlights in less time, while full-day tours reach all the stops and allow time to eat lunch at a seaside restaurant if you want to get off the boat. Sunset tours depart later and end as the light fades. Pickup from Sorrento is included on at least one option. Confirm which one when you book. The skipper speaks English, Spanish or Italian depending on the group.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is the Blue Grotto like, and do I have to pay extra to enter it?
The Blue Grotto is a sea cave on Capri where the water reflects a brilliant blue light, making it Capri's main attraction. Entry costs 18 euros per person, paid directly at the cave on the day of the tour, and the wait is usually about 30 minutes: worth it for the sight itself.
Can I snorkel during the swim stops, or is it just swimming?
You can snorkel during the swim stops in clear water at the grottoes and open-water sites. The boat carries life jackets for all ages, and the skipper chooses stops where the water is calm and visibility is good.
How many swim stops are there, and how long do I spend in the water?
The itinerary includes swim stops at the Green Grotto, Li Galli island, and open-water sites between the major caves and landmarks. The exact number and length of time in the water depends on the option you choose: half-day tours have fewer stops and shorter water time than full-day tours.
Is lunch included, or do I need to bring my own food?
Lunch is not included in the boat fare, but you have the option to get off and eat at seaside restaurants in Positano or Amalfi that are accessible only by boat. An aperitif is served during one of the swim stops.
What's included in the price, and what do I need to pay separately?
Fuel, the skipper, boarding fees and life jackets are included. You pay separately for entry to the Blue Grotto (18 euros), any lunch ashore, and drinks beyond the aperitif offered during the tour.
