The experience

The boat leaves from Marina di Praia and heads straight to Amalfi, where you have an hour to walk the town, swim or sit at a waterfront café. From there the route turns toward Positano and stays on the water long enough to show you the coastline most visitors only see from the road: the caves carved into the cliffs, the small beaches tucked into inlets, the rock formations that have no names because they are too small to map. You stop in Positano for two hours, which is enough time to climb into the town or stay on Fornillo Beach.

The return journey follows the same stretch of coast but slower, so you see the details the outbound trip set up. Punta Campanella, the Marciano caves, the Baths of Giovanna and a dozen smaller points come into view as the boat moves. Snorkeling gear is on board if the water calls you. Coffee, tea, sodas and snacks are available throughout. The whole day runs six to seven hours.
