The experience
Vietri sul Mare is where you'll spend a morning or afternoon in a Cesarina's home learning to make pasta the way Italian families do. You'll start with an Italian aperitivo (prosecco and nibbles), then move straight into the kitchen. Your host will walk you through rolling sfoglia (fresh pasta) by hand, the foundational skill that opens up dozens of dishes. Then you'll make two different pasta types: one filled, one fresh, each one a different technique. The Cesarina teaches family recipes, not restaurant shortcuts, so you're learning what actually gets cooked at home.
After the pasta comes tiramisu, the iconic dessert that finishes nearly every Italian meal. You'll make it from scratch alongside your host and the other guests: the class caps at twelve people, so there's room to move and ask questions without feeling rushed. Everything you make gets tasted: you eat the pasta you rolled, the tiramisu you layered, paired with wine and coffee. The class includes water, wine and coffee throughout. The Cesarina provides all the equipment and ingredients, so you arrive with clean hands and leave with the skills.
The home is in Vietri sul Mare itself, reachable by public transport from nearby areas. The Cesarina handles sanitary protocols and provides hand sanitizer and paper towels. You'll wear an official Le Cesarine apron during the class and take it home as a reminder of what you learned.
