The experience

You arrive at a working farm in the Tuscan countryside where Roberto raises Cinta Senese pigs one by one, feeding them carefully selected cereals grown on the land. The walk starts through the vineyard and olive grove (the same plants that feed into the tasting later) before you reach the pig enclosure. The animals live in a semi-wild state, and you'll interact with them directly: there's a domestic pig named Ciro and the rest of the herd having fun in the mud. Most visitors take photos here.

After the farm walk, you visit the small cellar on the property, then move to the tasting. Lunch is built from what the farm produces: a platter of Cinta Senese cured meats (ham, salami, loin, capocollo, bacon, dry sausage), a cutting board of pecorino di Pienza served with organic jams, panzanella or bruschetta, red wine from Montepulciano, cantucci biscuits, and coffee. If the season allows, vegetables and fruit harvested from the garden that morning are part of the meal. Everything is sourced from the farm or the immediate area.
