The experience
You arrive at Coneria, an ice cream shop built around a working laboratory where the owner teaches you to make real Italian ice cream the way it was made decades ago. The class runs two hours and covers both the ice cream itself (learning which ingredients matter and how temperature and timing change the texture), and the cones, which you'll roll by hand using professional plates and a few simple ingredients that turn into crispy wafers. The whole time, 1960s music plays in the background. The shop's furniture, décor and even the staff's clothing belong to that era, so you're not just learning a technique, you're stepping into a specific moment in Italian food history.
At the end, you taste everything you've made: the ice cream fresh from the churn and the cones still warm. The class is small enough that the guide can watch your work and adjust your technique, and instruction is available in English, Italian or Russian, so language isn't a barrier to following along.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Italian and Russian.
Can I really make the cones myself, or is that a demonstration?
You roll the cones yourself using professional plates and equipment. The guide shows you the technique, then you make them on the spot, and they're part of what you eat at the end.
What if I've never made ice cream before? Will I be able to keep up?
The class is built for beginners. You learn the fundamentals of temperature, ingredients and timing, and the guide walks you through each step so you can replicate the process at home afterward.
Is the ice cream I make something I can actually recreate at home?
Yes. The whole point of the class is to teach you a method you can use with basic ingredients in your own kitchen, without special equipment beyond what most home cooks have.
How long does the class actually take?
The laboratory session runs two hours from start to finish, including the time you spend making both the ice cream and cones, plus tasting what you've produced.
