The experience
How do you fit Bali's most famous sites into a single day without renting a car or hiring separate guides? This tour strings them together in a route that starts early in the jungle and ends at the coast as light fades. You're picked up from your Seminyak hotel and driven to Tegenungan Waterfall, a 20-meter drop on the Petanu River where the sound alone fills the air around you. From there the route moves to Tegalalang Rice Terraces, where the land drops away in stepped green slopes that have looked the same for centuries. The roadside perch is cool and high enough to see across the whole valley, and it's the stop where most people spend time with a camera.
After lunch (included if you choose the all-inclusive option, vegetarian meals are available), you visit the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud, a 27-acre sanctuary that's home to over 400 long-tailed macaques split into separate groups across the grounds. It's an active cultural site, not a zoo: the village of Padangtegal owns and runs it. Next is Ubud Palace, the royal residence built in the 1800s and still the focal landmark of central Ubud, then a pass by Batuan Temple on the way out of town. The route also includes Taman Ayun Temple, a multi-tiered shrine built as a gathering place for the Mengwi people.
The day ends at Tanah Lot Temple, an ancient Hindu shrine that sits on a rocky outcrop surrounded by crashing waves about 20 kilometers northwest of Kuta. You arrive as the light turns golden and the temple's silhouette darkens against the sky. This is the moment the tour is built around. The onshore grounds hold smaller shrines, restaurants and shops, so there's time to move around and find your angle. Your driver handles all entry fees, parking and the air-conditioned vehicle for the full 9 to 10 hours. If you need a different pace or want to linger at a stop, the operator can adjust the timing to fit your day.

Is this one for you?Book the all-inclusive option if you want lunch sorted and one less decision during the day. Choose tours without lunch if you prefer to eat on your own schedule or have specific dietary needs beyond what's offered. Either way, the private vehicle and your own driver mean you're not waiting for other groups or following a rigid schedule. You can linger at Tegalalang or the Monkey Forest if the light or the moment calls for it.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Malay.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (2 to 11 years); Infant (under 2): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the Tegenungan Waterfall actually like when you get there?
Tegenungan Waterfall is a 20-meter drop on the Petanu River in the jungle outside Ubud, popular enough that both tourists and local people visit regularly. The sound of the falling water carries through the air around you, and it's the first stop on the tour, so you start the day in the thick of it.
Can I see the monkeys up close at the Sacred Monkey Forest?
The Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud is home to over 400 long-tailed macaques divided into four separate groups across 27 acres. It's an active cultural and spiritual site run by the village, not a confined exhibit, so the monkeys move freely through the grounds and you encounter them as you walk the sanctuary.
What time does the sunset happen at Tanah Lot, and how long do you stay?
Sunset timing varies by season, but the tour is scheduled to arrive at Tanah Lot Temple as the light turns golden and the temple's silhouette darkens against the sky. The onshore grounds have restaurants and smaller shrines, so you have time to move around and watch the light change over the water before heading back to your hotel.
Is lunch included, and what if I'm vegetarian?
Lunch is included only if you book the all-inclusive option. The tours-without-lunch option covers entry tickets and transport but not the meal. Vegetarian meals are available. Just let the operator know at the time of booking which option you need.
Do I need to arrange my own transport from my hotel?
Hotel pickup and drop-off from Seminyak and other coastal areas (Nusa Dua, Legian, Jimbaran, Canggu, Kuta, Uluwatu, Sanur and Denpasar) are included in the tour. Your English-speaking driver collects you in an air-conditioned vehicle and handles all parking and entry fees throughout the day.
Is this tour private, or will I be sharing with other travelers?
This is a private tour, meaning only you and your party travel in the vehicle: no other participants join you. Your own driver guides the day and can adjust the pace if you want to spend more time at a particular stop.
