Step-by-step itinerary
Quad biking and Ayung river rafting
- Pick up from hotel
- Safety briefing for quad bike
- Ride quad bike through countryside
- Enjoy 2 hours Ayung river rafting
The experience
The day starts with pickup from your hotel and a drive to Singapadu village, where an instructor runs a full safety briefing before you mount a semi-automatic 250cc ATV. You'll ride for up to two hours through rice terraces, plantations, river valleys and villages in the central Ubud countryside: the terrain changes with whether you choose a solo or tandem ride. The guide handles the route and can assist with photos if you bring a camera.
After changing and freshening up, you move to the Ayung River for the rafting leg. The Ayung is Class II–III, which means it suits beginners and families: the rapids are present but not extreme. You'll paddle roughly 13 kilometers over two hours, passing hidden waterfalls and swimming holes where the water is calm enough to stop. The rafting guide knows the river's best spots and can help you navigate the more challenging sections or simply paddle at a pace that feels right. Lunch is a buffet served after both activities wrap up.
The combo works because both activities sit in the northern Ubud area, so the travel time between them is short. Bring a swimsuit, t-shirt, change of clothes and water shoes or sandals. The changing facilities and towels are on-site. The day runs regardless of weather: rain or dry season, the activities go ahead unless you decide otherwise.

Is this one for you?You operate both the ATV and the paddle yourself, so this suits anyone who wants to be active rather than watch from a seat. The shared group format keeps the price lower than a private option. If you prefer to book the activities just for your party, ask about private departures. The Ayung's Class II–III rapids and the ATV's mix of terrain make this a moderate-intensity day, not a beginner's gentle float, but not a hardcore adventure either.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can children do both the ATV and the rafting?
Children ages 7–15 can join the ATV as a tandem passenger riding with an adult. Younger children cannot ride solo. All children ages 7 and up can participate in the Ayung River rafting, which is designed as family-friendly white water.
What is the Ayung River like for someone who has never rafted before?
The Ayung is Class II–III white water, meaning it has noticeable rapids but is considered very suitable for beginners and families. The guide will show you the technique and lead you through the more challenging sections. There are also calmer stretches where you can swim and rest.
Is the ATV ride a solo experience or can I ride with someone else?
You can choose either a solo ride on the 250cc ATV or a tandem ride with a passenger. Tandem is the only option for children ages 7–15, who must ride as a copilot with an adult.
What's included in the price, and what should I bring?
The price covers hotel pickup, both activities, all safety gear, changing facilities, towels, a welcome drink, coffee or tea, and lunch buffet. Bring a swimsuit, t-shirt, change of clothes, and water shoes or sandals. You can purchase souvenir photos of the day if you wish.
How long is the whole day from pickup to drop-off?
The full experience is approximately eight hours from hotel pickup through lunch and return. The ATV portion runs up to two hours and the rafting portion two hours, with time for the drive between sites, safety briefing, changing and the meal.
