The experience
The tour picks you up from your Seminyak hotel and heads north into Bali's cooler highlands. Brahmavihara Arama, the island's largest Buddhist monastery, opens the day: a compound of lush grounds and intricate architecture where you walk through the serene grounds. From there the route moves to Banjar Hot Springs, where you change and soak in the natural thermal pools. The water's therapeutic warmth is the main draw, and most travelers spend 30 to 45 minutes here before moving on.
Banyumala Waterfall comes next, hidden in jungle terrain and reached by a short walk downhill. The twin cascade drops into a clear pool where you can swim and take photos. This is the most physically active stop on the tour. The final stop is Ulun Danu Temple, perched on the shores of Lake Bratan with mountain views behind it. You walk the temple grounds and see the iconic floating shrine before heading back to Seminyak. The full itinerary runs 8 to 9 hours door to door.
An English-speaking guide drives an air-conditioned vehicle and manages all four entry fees, so you pay nothing at the gates. Children from age 6 are welcome. The tour is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular concerns. You'll need at least a moderate level of fitness for the waterfall walk and the swimming.

What is Brahmavihara Arama and why is it the first stop on the tour?
Brahmavihara Arama is Bali's largest Buddhist monastery, a compound of serene grounds and intricate architecture set in lush greenery. It opens the tour because it sets the cultural tone for the day and is positioned on the route north from Seminyak before the other three sites.
Can I swim at both the hot springs and the waterfall?
Yes. At Banjar Hot Springs you soak in the natural thermal pools, and at Banyumala Waterfall you swim in the clear pool beneath the twin cascade. Both stops include time in the water.
What's the walk like to reach Banyumala Waterfall?
Banyumala Waterfall is hidden in the jungle and reached by a short walk downhill. This is the most physically active part of the tour, so moderate fitness helps, and the terrain can be steep and wet underfoot.
