The experience
The tour starts with hotel pickup from Seminyak and heads north to Handara Gate, a traditional Balinese gate framed by green hills that has become one of Bali's most photographed landmarks. From there the route climbs toward Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan, twin lakes ringed by coffee and clove plantations on a plateau. The drive passes through groups of monkeys on the roadside and takes roughly 15 minutes from Bedugul. Munduk Waterfall comes next, set in forest dense with clove, coffee, avocado, taro, banana and durian trees. The operator notes it remains less commercialized than many other waterfalls on the island, so the experience is quieter.
Lunch at a restaurant breaks the day before the tour moves to Brahmavihara Arama, Bali's largest Buddhist temple, built in 1960 and formally opened in 1973. The complex includes a miniature Borobudur on its southern grounds. The final stop is Banjar Hot Spring, a complex set in a tropical garden with three public pools and one private pool. The two main pools are decorated with stone-carved Naga sculptures that spew water, and the pools draw from the natural hot spring beneath them. The tour ends with drop-off at your Seminyak hotel.
You choose between a tour without lunch or an all-inclusive option with Indonesian set menu lunch included. The driver speaks English and Malay, handles all parking and petrol, and the vehicle is air-conditioned. Vegetarian meals are available if you request them at booking. Bring sunscreen and a camera. The dress code is smart casual. Children under two travel free.
Is this one for you?The private vehicle means your group travels alone, and the fixed itinerary fits six distinct sites (from the famous gate to the quiet waterfall to the temple and the hot spring pools) into a single full day without backtracking. Book the all-inclusive option if you want lunch handled. Choose the tour without lunch if you prefer to eat separately or on your own schedule.

Can I swim at Munduk Waterfall or is it just for looking at?
