The experience
The tour starts early (8am pickup from your hotel in Ubud, Seminyak, Kuta or one of the other included zones), and heads north across mountain roads to reach Sekumpul Waterfall. This is the first of two waterfall stops. Fiji Waterfall sits nearby, both reachable with a single trek from the same location. The drive itself is part of the experience: the road climbs through scenic terrain that frames the day before you arrive at either waterfall.
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is the final stop. Built in the 17th century on the western shore of Bratan Lake, the temple complex sits in a way that creates a floating impression: the lake's smooth surface reflects the structure, and the Bedugul mountain range rises behind it. The temple was constructed to worship Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, as well as Dewi Danu, the lake goddess. The combination of water, architecture and mountains is what makes this site distinctive in Bali. Your driver stays with you throughout the day and handles all logistics, including parking and local taxes.
The tour runs about nine hours total. Bring extra clothes, the waterfalls mean water exposure, and the operator notes this tour is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries or pregnant travelers. Children from age 5 are welcome. Bottled water is provided. Food and drink are available for purchase at stops along the way.
Is this one for you?Book this if you're combining two waterfalls and a lakeside temple in one day: the private vehicle and English-speaking driver let you set your own pace across the north Bali itinerary.
