The experience

Three waterfalls in one day means moving through different terrain and water. Tibumana sits deep in the jungle. You walk stairs and cross wooden bridges to reach twin falls with clear, cool mountain water where you can swim. Tukad Cepung is the hidden one, tucked inside a cave. Getting there means walking through jungle, climbing stairs and wading along a river, so it's an adventure if you want one. Tegenungan is the third stop, also fed by mountain springs, and it's where you can rest and photograph if the swimming is done.

Hotel pickup and drop-off bracket the day, and private transport moves you between the three sites. Lunch happens at a local restaurant partway through. You'll have a guide who speaks English, and the entrance fees to each waterfall are covered. Bring a towel, changing clothes and sunscreen. The water is fresh and the sun is direct, especially at the stops where you're not under jungle cover.

The 10-hour span gives you time at each waterfall without rushing, though the walking and stairs mean you need a moderate level of fitness. Children from age 3 are welcome. If you're staying in a hotel without a rental car, the pickup solves the logistics of getting to these three sites in sequence.

Top questions

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 11 years). Children under 3 can't be included in the booking.

What is Tukad Cepung waterfall like compared to the other two?

Tukad Cepung is the most hidden of the three, located inside a cave rather than in open jungle. You reach it by walking through jungle, climbing stairs and wading along a river, which makes it an adventure in itself. The waterfall is surrounded by rock cliffs that give it a unique look, and because of its cave setting and remote location, it feels different from Tibumana and Tegenungan.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer to enjoy this tour?

You don't need to be a strong swimmer. All three waterfalls have areas where you can swim in the mountain-fed water, but swimming is optional. You can rest, photograph or simply enjoy the landscape instead. The tour requires a moderate level of physical fitness because of the walking, stairs and river wading, not because of swimming ability.

How does hotel pickup work on this tour?

The tour includes pickup from your hotel and drop-off at the end of the day. Private transport takes you from your hotel to each of the three waterfalls in sequence, so you don't need a rental car or arrange your own way to these sites.

What's included in the lunch?

Lunch is at a local restaurant and is included in the tour price. Alcoholic drinks are available to purchase separately at the waterfall sites if you want them.
