The experience
The ride starts from your hotel or the meeting point in Singapadu village and covers challenging tracks through mud, forests and river crossings. You'll pass through Balinese villages, rice paddies and waterfalls while your guide leads the way on terrain that tests your control without requiring prior experience. The route is built around the landscape itself: you navigate mud and water, climb small grades, and thread through narrow village paths where the real riding happens, not just sightseeing from a vehicle.
Kingkong Cave and Legong Temple Cave break up the riding sections. You stop to walk through them and see the Ganesha statue carved into the rock. Lunch comes after the activity finishes, so you're not eating mid-ride. The whole experience, including the caves and lunch, takes about 4 hours from pickup to drop-off, though the actual riding is 1.5 hours. You can book a single bike if you want to ride solo, or a tandem if you're sharing one quad with another person. Some options include hotel transport, others start at the meeting point.
Safety gear is non-negotiable: helmets and boots are provided, and your guide is licensed and certified. Insurance covers the ride. Afterward, you can shower, use the locker and towel, then swim in the pool while you cool down. The activity suits both beginners and experienced riders, though it's not recommended if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns. Riders must be at least 15 years old.
