The experience

You operate the ATV yourself across Roatan's west side, stopping at the wildlife eco-park to see sloths, monkeys and parrots up close, then at the chocolate factory to learn how cacao becomes chocolate. The guide leads the route and handles the narration about the island's flora, fauna and villages: Coxen Hole, Flowers Bay, West End, Sandy Bay and others. Multiple photo stops break up the ride, including a hill viewpoint where the villages spread out below.

The ATV comes loaded with fuel, and you wear a helmet throughout. The eco-park entry is included. The chocolate factory visit is optional, and any food or drinks you buy there are separate. A local guide fluent in English or Spanish rides alongside or leads, depending on the option you pick.
