The experience

The morning starts at a working farm where you join the cheesemakers for a homemade brunch of fresh local products. You'll feed the farm animals, then learn how the signature arseniko cheese is made, and make some yourself, hands on, while the owner shares stories and pours house wine around the family table. The maturation room shows you how the cheese develops over time, and you taste what the farm produces.

After the farm, you drive to a charming vineyard where the young owner walks you through the vines and explains the local varieties and how Naxian winemakers work. The tasting that follows covers five distinctive wines, plus local grape mark spirits, each one paired with Naxian cheeses, homemade sourdough bread, olives and other local delicacies. The whole experience runs five hours and includes private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, bottled water, and all the food and drink.
