The experience

The tour opens at Melissani Cave, where you board a small boat and float through a rocky cavern filled with clear water, surrounded by forest on the outside. From there you drive to Assos, a village built on a hillside with brightly painted houses, where you have time to walk the streets, sit at a beachfront coffee shop and talk with locals. Fiscardo comes next (a more polished harbor town known for its waterfront restaurants and elegant architecture), where you eat lunch at a seafront spot and wander the streets at your own pace.

The afternoon includes a photo stop positioned above Myrtos Beach, one of the island's most photographed stretches of sand. The tour wraps at The Geek Experience Store, where you taste and buy local products: traditional Kefalonian wines, olive oils, honey, sweets and other island specialties. It's a chance to take home flavors from the day rather than just photos.

Melissani Cave is an underground cavern about 2km from the village of Sami, filled with crystal-clear water. You board a small boat for a short ride inside the cave, which is surrounded by trees and forest on the outside. The cave lake is one of the most visited attractions on Kefalonia.

Is lunch included in the price?

Lunch is not included. You eat at a seafront restaurant in Fiscardo at your own cost. The tastings at The Geek Experience Store at the end are also a separate purchase.
