The experience
The boat leaves Ornos in Mykonos and crosses to Delos, the holy island where ancient Greeks believed Apollo and Artemis were born. You'll see the ancient monuments from the water and have time to explore the archaeological site on foot (the 12-euro entry fee is separate). The island's history runs deep: in antiquity, the Athenians forbade birth and death on Delos itself, so Rhenia nearby became a necropolis and sanatorium for the severely ill. Today that past is gone.
From Delos, the boat heads to Rhenia, where the beaches have no road access and no crowds. Skinos beach, known locally as Blue Lacuna, has the pale sand and aquamarine water the Aegean is known for. You'll have time to swim in the shallows, sunbathe, walk the shoreline and float on the boat between swims. Snorkeling equipment is on board if you want to look at the seabed. Beer, wine and soft drinks flow free throughout the afternoon.
The return to Mykonos gives you the island's profile from the water: a different angle than the one from shore. A captain runs the boat and a guide speaks English or Greek, depending on the group. The whole outing takes three hours from departure to return.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Greek.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the private cruise and the sunset cruise option?
The private cruise runs for three hours in the daytime and stops at both Delos and Rhenia for swimming and snorkeling. The sunset cruise is a separate booking with a different schedule and focus. Check that listing for its itinerary and timing.
Do I need to pay extra to visit the ruins at Delos?
Yes. The archaeological site entrance fee is 12 euros per adult and is not included in the cruise price. You pay it separately when you arrive at Delos if you want to walk the site.
Can I snorkel at both islands or just Rhenia?
Snorkeling equipment is provided and you can use it at either island. Most swimmers and snorkelers spend their time at Rhenia's beaches, where the water is calm and clear, but you're free to enter the water at Delos as well.
Is hotel pickup included, or do I meet the boat at Ornos?
Hotel pickup is not included in this cruise. You'll meet the boat at Ornos in Mykonos at the scheduled departure time. Public transportation options are available to reach the port.
What happens if the weather is rough?
The boat operates in normal sea conditions. If weather becomes unsafe, the operator will reschedule your cruise or offer a refund. Check the cancellation policy when you book.
