The tour starts with a stop in the village of Badiauri, where you watch Georgian bread being baked and taste it fresh with local cheese. From there, the route climbs to Bodbe Convent, a 9th-century monastery rebuilt in the 17th century and built, according to legend, on the burial place of Saint Nino. The setting is spiritual and the views across the valley are the kind worth stopping for photos.

Sighnaghi, known as the City of Love, sits on a steep hill overlooking the Alazani Valley with the Caucasus Mountains visible in the distance. You walk the town's pastel-colored narrow streets and climb what locals call the Great Wall of Georgia—the fortification that runs along the ridge. After that, you head to Telavi, the capital of Kakheti, where a 900-year-old tree stands as a landmark; from it you can see the palace of King Erekle. The wine tasting happens in a cellar with views of the mountains, and you taste several types of wine and chacha free of charge. Churchkhela (a traditional Georgian candy) and honey are also included.

The itinerary also passes through Gombori, a mountain area known for panoramic views, and Ujarma, an ancient fortress near Telavi with ruins of churches and fortifications.
