The experience
The boat picks you up at your resort and heads into the lagoon, where you'll stop at three or four separate snorkeling sites. At each one, the guide joins you in the water to point out what's there and help if you need it. The lagoon holds manta rays, eagle rays, moray eels, barracuda and schools of tropical fish, though what you see depends on the day and the conditions. You're in the water doing the looking, not watching from the boat.
All snorkeling gear and towels are on board, along with water, soft drinks and a light snack. The boat is a Four Winns 220, and the group stays under six people, so there's room to move and the guide can actually see who needs help. Entry and exit use a long ladder, which matters if you have mobility concerns or spinal issues. You'll need at least a moderate level of fitness and the ability to get in and out of the water that way.
You choose a morning or afternoon departure at checkout. The whole outing runs 3.5 hours from pickup to drop-off back at your resort.

What's actually in the lagoon that I'll see while snorkeling?
Manta rays, eagle rays, moray eels, barracuda and tropical fish are all in the lagoon. The guide points out the coral gardens and whatever else shows up on the day you go. What you see depends on conditions and the time of year.
Is the guide in the water with me the whole time?
The guide joins you in the water at each of the three to four snorkeling stops to help if you need it and to show you things of interest. They're there for assistance and navigation, not hovering the entire time.
