Bora Bora Combo Diving and Snorkeling: 2-Tank Dive Plus Afternoon
Two dives, lunch at Matira, then snorkeling—all in seven hours
A full-day combo activity in Bora Bora where you scuba dive two tanks in the morning, eat lunch overlooking Matira Beach, then snorkel the lagoon in the afternoon. The operator is the only one on the island offering both activities in a single day, which means couples where one person dives and the other doesn't can stay together instead of booking separate outings. A live guide leads in English or French, and all equipment, towels, drinks and snacks are included.
The Experience
Seven hours starts with a two-tank scuba dive—introductory or certified level—in Bora Bora's lagoon. If your partner doesn't dive, they snorkel the same waters while you're underwater, so the morning stays together. The boat takes you to a motu with views of Mount Otemanu, and after you surface the second time, lunch waits at a restaurant with your feet in the water and Matira Beach across the view.
The afternoon shifts to snorkeling. You explore the same lagoon from the surface, seeing what the morning dives revealed from below. Bora Bora's reef and fish life run the full depth, so the two halves of the day show you different angles of the same water. The operator supplies all scuba gear, snorkel equipment, towels, bottled water, soft drinks and a light snack; lunch itself you pay for separately at the restaurant.
A guide in English or French leads the whole day and handles the logistics—pickup is included, so you don't arrange transport to the boat. The combination solves the usual problem for mixed-ability couples: one person doesn't have to skip diving, and the other doesn't have to sit out snorkeling. You both move through the same schedule and the same sites, just in different ways.

What's the difference between the two scuba dives on this tour?
The tour offers a choice between an introductory dive (no certification required) and a certified dive (for divers with a valid card). Both are two tanks in the same morning, and the guide assesses which level suits you before the boat leaves.
Can I snorkel if my partner is diving, or do I have to sit on the boat?
You snorkel in the same area while your partner dives. The boat stays in one location, so you're in the water the whole time—you're not waiting on deck.
Is lunch included in the price, or do I pay extra at the restaurant?
Lunch at the Matira Beach restaurant is not included in the tour price; you pay for your meal separately when you eat. Bottled water, soft drinks and a light snack are included.
How long does the actual diving take, and how much time is left for snorkeling?
The morning dive is two tanks, which takes roughly three to four hours with safety stops and surface intervals. The afternoon snorkeling runs for the remaining time before the seven-hour day ends, giving you a leisurely pace in the lagoon.
Do I need a diving certification to do the two-tank dive?
No. The tour offers an introductory dive for people with no certification, so you can dive without a card. If you're already certified, you can do the certified option instead.
What happens if only one person in our group wants to dive?
The other person snorkels while you dive, then you both snorkel together in the afternoon. This is the main reason the tour exists—so couples with different interests don't have to book two separate activities.
