The Experience

Gliding out from the dock, the boat cuts into water so clear you can see the bottom shift from sand to reef in real time. The lagoon of Bora Bora opens up around you—turquoise in the shallows, deepening to blue where the reef drops away. Your guide steers toward the coral garden first, where the water is warm and the fish are waiting. You'll slip in with snorkeling gear (included, and they fit you properly before you leave the boat) and spend the first stretch watching thousands of fish move through the coral like they're part of the reef itself. After an hour or so in the garden, the guide brings the boat into shallower water for the stingrays.
