The experience

The tour starts along the Promenade des Anglais, Nice's 9-kilometer coastal avenue, then climbs to Mont Alban for a panoramic view of the city before heading to Eze. This medieval village sits high above the French Riviera and draws over two million visitors yearly for its narrow streets, five-star hotels, and Michelin-starred restaurants. You'll have time to walk and photograph the village, then move on to the Fragonard Perfume Factory, where a dedicated guide leads you through a scent-testing experience. You try to identify flowers and fragrances to discover if you have the nose of a professional "nez."

In Monaco, the itinerary centers on the Prince's Palace, perched on a rock overlooking the sea, and the daily Changing of the Guards at 11:55. You also visit the Oceanographic Museum, which Jacques-Yves Cousteau directed for 31 years and remains the most famous of its kind. The Cathedral of St. Nicholas, where Princess Grace Kelly is buried, is another stop. A lunch break fits into the day's schedule, giving you time to eat before the afternoon drive.

The Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit is where the tour becomes distinctive: you actually drive the race track itself, passing the finish-starting line, the tunnel, and the Fairmont hairpin. The most famous corners of the world's most prestigious motor racing circuit. Afterward, Monte Carlo Square reveals the Casino, luxury boutiques, high-end restaurants, and hotels that define the principality's reputation. Entry to the Casino costs 17 euros and requires formal dress and a passport. It is optional but included in the tour's route.
