The Experience

The first thing I noticed after our driver picked us up from the hotel in Luxor was how quiet the West Bank felt compared to the city. Our Egyptologist, Amr, greeted us with this easy warmth—he’d grown up nearby and seemed to know every stone. The sun was already sharp as we reached the Valley of the Kings.
