The Experience

Ever wondered what it feels like to stand face-to-face with the Great Pyramid of Giza? I didn’t really know until our guide, Mahmoud, waved us out of the car and straight into that honey-colored morning light. The city noise faded behind us—just a few shouts from vendors and the low hum of traffic—and suddenly there they were: Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, lined up against the sky.
