The experience

Your guide meets you in the hotel lobby 15 minutes before departure and drives you to the Great Pyramid of Cheops, where you'll stand near the base while the guide explains how ancient Egyptians built these structures. You'll see the two boat pits that once held ceremonial sun boats and the three smaller pyramids built for royalty. From there, the vehicle takes you to an elevated vantage point overlooking all three pyramids of Giza: the spot most visitors use for photographs.

Next is the Valley Temple, a site connected to the Sphinx that reveals the rituals and customs of ancient Egypt. The Sphinx itself, carved from a single limestone ridge, dominates the plateau and has drawn visitors for millennia. Your guide provides context for both locations before moving to the final stop.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is a modern facility that opens with a monumental statue of Ramses II and a grand staircase lined with pharaonic statues. Inside, the museum holds thousands of artifacts spanning Egyptian history. The centerpiece is Tutankhamun's complete collection: fully restored and displayed together in one place for the first time. Interactive galleries and state-of-the-art presentations show the grandeur, artistry and daily life of ancient Egypt. The entire tour, including museum time, takes between 6 and 8 hours. Sunset dinner with a view of the pyramids is available as an optional add-on for an extra fee.
