Scuba Diving Scooters in Punta Cana: No Swimming Required
You breathe normally the whole time, seated in a water-free dome.
Scuba diving scooters in Punta Cana let you ride an eco-friendly underwater vehicle with your head and shoulders in a clear 180-degree dome, breathing air constantly replenished from a tank fixed to the scooter. No mask, no mouthpiece, no swimming ability required — you simply sit and drive through the coral reef. The activity lasts 4 hours and includes pickup, a live guide in English, Spanish, Italian or French, snacks, and a 30-minute panoramic boat ride with bathroom access for up to 20 people.
The Experience
The Scuba-Doo is built for people who want to see the underwater world without the gear. You're seated upright on the scooter with your head and shoulders inside a clear dome that keeps you dry and lets you breathe normally throughout the ride. The air tank is already mounted to the scooter and replenishes your air constantly, so there's no mask to fog up, no mouthpiece to manage, and no heavy weight belt pulling you down. The scooter itself is eco-friendly and carries enough air for about three separate dives, with a battery life of up to 1.5 hours.
You'll navigate through the coral reef at a pace you control, watching the flora and fauna pass by while staying comfortable and dry. The activity includes a 30-minute panoramic boat ride on a futuristic glass-bottom vessel equipped with a bathroom, safety gear, and snacks. The boat holds up to 20 people, so you're part of a small group rather than a massive tour. A live guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian or French and stays with you throughout. Hotel pickup is included, and children as young as five can join.
The whole experience runs 4 hours. The Scuba-Doo meets all licensing and safety requirements, and the setup means no swimming experience is necessary — if you can sit upright and steer, you can do this. The only real constraints are physical fitness and a few medical conditions; the operator doesn't recommend it for travelers with spinal injuries or pregnant travelers.
What’s included
- Hotel pickup.
- a live guide in English, Spanish, Italian or French.
- snacks during the panoramic boat ride.
- bathroom access on the glass-bottom boat.
- all safety equipment and licensing requirements met by the Scuba-Doo.
Operated by Caribbean Tour Service
Is this one for you?You operate the scooter yourself while seated in a clear dome, so this suits anyone who wants to see the underwater world without swimming, training, or heavy gear — the setup removes every barrier except the desire to go. If you prefer to watch rather than steer, or if you have spinal injuries or are pregnant, a different water activity would be a better fit.

How long does the whole activity take?
The activity runs 4 hours total, which includes the Scuba-Doo ride, the 30-minute panoramic glass-bottom boat tour, and transport time. Hotel pickup is included.
What's included in the price?
