Discover Scuba Diving in Protaras is a beginner class taught by experienced instructors at a 5-star dive center with over 20 years of teaching experience. A 20–30 minute theory session covers the fundamentals, followed by shallow-water practice and a full dive in Green Bay's calm, clear Mediterranean waters. Hotel pickup is available. The class runs about 3 hours and welcomes participants from age 15.

The experience

The dive center handles all the equipment. You show up and learn. After a brief theory session on the basics, you'll move to shallow water where your instructor watches you practice essential skills before moving to depth. The whole arc is built around confidence: by the time you're in Green Bay, you've already done the moves in controlled conditions, so the actual dive becomes the reward rather than the test.

Green Bay is the draw. The water stays warm and clear, and the site is known for resident sea turtles you'll encounter during the dive. Your instructor stays with you the entire time, guiding you through the underwater landscape and pointing out the marine life as you move through it. The visibility is excellent, which matters for a first dive. You can actually see what you're doing and what's around you.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included if you choose that option. Otherwise, you can meet the instructors directly at the dive center. The center operates in English and Polish. All scuba equipment is provided, and the 3-hour timeframe covers the theory, the practice, and the full dive.

This class is designed for people with no diving experience at all. The instructors at the 5-star center have over 20 years of teaching beginners, and the whole structure (theory first, shallow water second, then the real dive) is built around getting you comfortable and confident from zero.

What happens if the weather turns bad on the day I'm booked?

If poor weather forces a cancellation, the dive center will offer you either an alternative date or a full refund. Diving is subject to favorable conditions, so this protects you if the sea state isn't safe.

Can I do this if I'm flying to Cyprus that day, or do I need to wait?

Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended because of the risk of decompression sickness. If you're arriving by plane, plan to dive the day after you land or later.
