A Discover Scuba Diving experience in Protaras (Cyprus) where you learn the basics, use full SCUBA equipment, and complete diving techniques in the shallow waters of Green Bay under PADI-certified instruction. The session runs about three hours and includes a free edited video of your dive. Morning departures are recommended for calmer conditions and better chances of seeing turtles. Pickup is included, and all equipment is provided.

The Experience

The SCUBA equipment arrives with you—wetsuit, tank, regulator, the works—and a certified instructor walks you through how it all works before you enter the water. You'll learn the basics on land, then move into the shallow end of Green Bay, where the water stays calm and the bottom is close enough that panic has nowhere to hide. The location itself is built for beginners: Fish Rock and a few small underwater statues give you something to focus on besides the fact that you're breathing thirty feet down.

Once you're in, the instructor stays with you through the actual moment—your first breath underwater, the shift in how your body moves, the sudden quiet. You'll practice a few basic techniques in the shallows, get used to the equipment, and spend time just swimming and looking. The whole thing takes about three hours from start to finish. Morning sessions are the better bet if you can swing it; the water is calmer and you're more likely to spot turtles moving through.

Afterward, you get a free edited video of the dive—not raw footage, but a finished cut you can actually watch and share. The operator posts examples on their YouTube channel (@Nautilusscubadiving) if you want to see what the final product looks like before you book. A driver picks you up and brings you back, so you don't need to arrange transport yourself.
