The experience
The dive unfolds in stages around the peninsula. After a short briefing and equipment check at the center, you enter the crystal-clear water directly from the beach and head first to Fish Rock, a vibrant reef where schools of colorful Mediterranean fish have grown accustomed to divers. From there you move into the famous underwater sculpture area, where statues create a unique setting for photos and marine encounters. The route then crosses seagrass meadows (the feeding grounds of Green Bay's resident sea turtles), where you keep watch for these gentle animals grazing or swimming alongside the reef.
The entire route stays at a maximum depth of 10 meters (33 feet), which means excellent visibility and a relaxed pace throughout. The dive finishes back at the center, so you walk out of the water where you walked in, with no long return journey and no need to carry equipment far. A live guide leads the dive in your choice of English, German, Swedish or Greek, and all SCUBA equipment is provided. The experience takes around three hours from start to finish.
Pictures and videos of the dive are included, and an air-conditioned vehicle is available if you need transport to or from the site. Public transportation options are also nearby if you prefer to arrange your own way to Green Bay Beach.
