A guided shore dive in Curaçao for certified divers only, with pickup to reefs and wrecks across the island and a live guide in English, Spanish or Dutch. Groups stay small so the guide can watch your technique and help you improve while you explore. Underwater photography is included if conditions permit.

The experience

Scubaçao picks you up and drives you to whichever dive site fits the day's conditions: wrecks and steep drop-offs on the eastern side, or the coral reefs in the west. The boat ride and the site choice are built around what the water is doing, not a fixed itinerary. You bring your certification card. They bring the tanks, weights, BCD and regulator. The dive itself runs about an hour in the water, and the whole outing takes three hours from pickup to return.

Your guide has worked these reefs long enough to know where the fish are and what the current is doing. Because groups max out at a handful of divers, the guide can watch your buoyancy and your air consumption, and offer real feedback instead of just herding bodies through the site. Novice certified divers and experienced ones get the same attention. The difference is what the guide shows you and how fast you move through the site. If the underwater camera is working that day, they'll shoot some photos of you at no extra cost. Bring your own GoPro or camera if you want backup footage.

Pickup happens in a four-seat truck that collects you from your hotel or a meeting point on the island. The guide speaks English, Spanish or Dutch, so you can book in whichever language you're comfortable with. Children from age ten can dive if they're certified.
