The experience

This is a shore diving activity, not a boat trip. You enter the water from the beach at each site, and the minivan handles the logistics between them. The operator picks you up at your hotel or the Willemstad cruise port, takes you to the diving center to get equipped, then drives you to your first site. You'll dive two different locations in the same morning, choosing from spots like Tugboat, Maripampum, Directors Bay, and Double Reef, each with coral reefs, fish species, and underwater shipwrecks. The whole outing runs around 5 hours from pickup to drop-off.

Your guide is a certified instructor who speaks English or Spanish and stays with your small group throughout both dives. They know the sites well enough to point out what's there and adjust the route if conditions change or if you want to work on technique. The water is warm and has good visibility, and the guide's job is to make sure you're comfortable and enjoying it, not rushing through a checklist. If you have concerns about your diving or want to improve something specific, tell them. They're used to working with divers at different levels of experience.

Snacks are provided during the outing. Dive gear is not included in the price, but you can rent it at the diving center for $60 USD if you don't bring your own. The activity is only for certified divers. Children are welcome from age 12 if they're certified. The minivan is comfortable, and the whole operation is built around personalized attention rather than herding groups through a schedule.
