Step-by-step itinerary

UTV tour exploring west coast

  • Attend safety briefing
  • Learn vehicle operation
  • Drive across San Pedro plains
  • Explore a hidden cave
  • Visit Boca Patrick waves
  • Swim at DaaiBooi beach
  • Return to starting point

The Experience

Three and a half hours starts with a safety briefing and a walk-through of how to operate the UTV before you take the wheel. Once you're ready, you drive across the San Pedro plains — the rugged landscape the west coast is known for — and explore a hidden cave on your own terms. The guide leads the route and stays with the group, but the vehicle is yours to handle.

The ride takes you to Boca Patrick, where waves crash against the rocks in a natural show, then down to DaaiBooi beach for a swim in the water before heading back to your hotel. The whole outing includes a bandana and UV safety goggles, bottled water, and a granola bar. Hotel pickup is included, so you don't arrange transport to the starting point.

You need to be at least 21 to drive; passengers ride along from age 12. The vehicle is shared between two people, so you're either driving solo or taking turns with a travel partner. The guide speaks English, Spanish or Dutch depending on your preference.

What’s included

  • Safety briefing and vehicle operation demonstration before departure.
  • hotel pickup and return.
  • licensed guide in English, Spanish or Dutch.
  • UTV vehicle for two people.
  • bandana and UV safety goggles.
  • bottled water and granola bar.

Operated by Curacao Activities

Is this one for you?You drive the UTV yourself, which means you control the pace and the handling across the terrain — suited to drivers 21 and up who want hands-on control rather than a guided tour where someone else operates the vehicle. Passengers from age 12 can ride along, making it flexible for mixed-age groups or couples who want to share one vehicle.

Top questions

Can I ride as a passenger if I don't want to drive the UTV myself?

Yes. Passengers can join from age 12 and ride in the vehicle while the driver operates it. One UTV carries two people, so you can pair with another traveler or a companion.

What happens at Boca Patrick during the ride?

Boca Patrick is a stop where you see waves crashing against the rocks in a natural display. You'll have time to take in the scenery before moving on to the next part of the route.

Is the swim at DaaiBooi beach included, or do I need to bring my own gear?

The swim is part of the experience. Bring a towel and swimwear; the UTV ride includes bandana and UV goggles for sun protection, but you'll need your own towel and change of clothes.

What's included in the price besides the UTV and guide?

Hotel pickup, a safety briefing, vehicle demonstration, bandana, UV safety goggles, bottled water, and a granola bar are all included. The price is $229 for one or two people sharing the vehicle.
