Go East ATV Tour in Curacao: Off-Road Riding
Ride rough terrain and reach places the pavement doesn't go.
The Go East ATV Tour in Curacao is a 2.5-hour off-road ride starting from Caracasbaai that takes you across sand, rocks, and narrow trails to three coastal stops: the Jan Thiel viewpoint with its famous bench, the Cave of Doom carved by erosion, and Playa Kanoa on the north coast where waves crash against the rocks. A live guide in English, Spanish or Dutch leads the route, and gear—bandana, dust goggles, water, a granola bar and a soda—is provided. Drivers must be at least 21 with a valid license; passengers need to be 1.20 meters tall or taller.

The Experience
The tour starts at the BlueFinn desk in Caracasbaai with a safety briefing and waiver, then a short warm-up ride before you leave pavement behind. Once the terrain turns rough—sand, rocks, twists, narrow trails—the ride becomes what BlueFinn calls its exclusive east-coast route, the only one of its kind on Curacao. You'll stop at the Jan Thiel viewpoint for coastal views and a photo at the "I love Curacao" bench, then continue to the Cave of Doom, a natural cavity carved by erosion into the landscape. The wind turbines of East Curacao mark the terrain as you ride toward the final stop.
Playa Kanoa is a raw north-coast beach where the waves crash hard against the rocks, and the ocean breeze completes the ride before you head back to Caracasbaai. The whole outing takes 2.5 hours. Dust goggles, a bandana, bottled water, a granola bar and a soda come with the tour; bring your driver's license if you're riding the ATV, and wear clothes you don't mind getting dusty.
