How do you get to the best wineries on Pelješac without arranging a driver yourself? The tour picks you up from your Dubrovnik hotel and heads south along the coast toward the peninsula. On the way, you stop in Ston, the fortified town at the entrance to Pelješac, where medieval walls stretch over 5 kilometers—the longest in Europe. You have free time to walk the narrow streets, see the ancient salt pans still in operation, or taste oysters from Mali Ston Bay, the waters where they're cultivated.

Once on the peninsula, you visit three local wineries chosen for what they represent about the region. Pelješac is famous for bold red varietals: Plavac Mali and Dingac, the legendary wine that put the peninsula on the map. At each winery, you taste the wines and hear how centuries of tradition shaped the region's approach to winemaking. At one stop, the winery serves snacks—prosciutto, cheese, and local delicacies—alongside the tastings, so you're tasting the wines in the context of what they pair with. The whole experience runs eight to nine hours, with driving time built into that span.

After the wineries, you have the option to stop for lunch at a family-run restaurant featuring traditional Mediterranean dishes, or for oyster tasting in Mali Ston Bay—both at your own expense. The driver then takes you back to Dubrovnik. A few practical notes: some smaller family-run wineries don't take cards, so bring cash; if you choose the wine menu and snack option, let the operator know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions after booking; and alcohol is not served to anyone under 18.
