The tour starts with hotel pickup in Dubrovnik and a scenic drive to a viewpoint near Majkovi village, where you can photograph the Adriatic coastline and see across to Mljet National Park. From there, the route heads to Ston, a 14th-century medieval town that once marked the edge of the Dubrovnik Republic—the stone walls stretch 7 kilometers up the hillside to a fort at the summit. Ston is also known for fresh oysters from Mali Ston Bay and the oldest operating salt factory in Europe, both available as stops if you want them.

The main winery visits happen at two locations. First is Ćurlin, a small family-owned winery in the village of Ponikve where you meet the winemakers and learn their traditional methods passed down through generations; they specialize in Plavac Mali, a red grape variety unique to the region. Later, Matusko winery—the largest in the region—offers a tour through its wine cellar and a broader selection to taste. Between the two, Trstenik Bay is the longest stop, a stretch of coast where you can swim or have lunch at one of the local restaurants if you choose.

The full day runs 8 to 9 hours with an air-conditioned vehicle, bottled water during the drive, and a guide who also drives. The itinerary is tailored to your group, so timing and which stops you linger at can shift based on your interests. The route back to Dubrovnik takes you through the same scenic coastal landscape you saw on the way out.
