The experience
Ninety minutes at Pervino starts with you choosing which six wines to taste from their selection of 18. The lineup includes authentic Istrian varieties (Malvazija Istarska and Teran) alongside internationally known grapes like Merlot, Chardonnay and Muscat. Your guide introduces the first three with a short talk on each wine's character, origin and how it was made, and answers questions as you taste. The winery team shares stories about the family and their winemaking approach.
Between the first three wines and the final three, you eat a traditional Istrian charcuterie board: local cold cuts, cheeses and prosciutto served with a baguette, olives and the winery's own extra virgin olive oil. The second half of the tasting lets you explore three more wines of your choice, discovering different styles and expressions of Istrian winemaking at your own speed. The whole experience is built around conversation and learning, not rushing through a list.
Children are welcome and can play freely in the garden while you taste. Pets come along too. The winery is wheelchair accessible, and guides speak English or Croatian depending on your group.
