From there, you descend to Journey Behind the Falls, where you walk through tunnels carved into bedrock and step onto observation platforms positioned just feet from the rushing water of Horseshoe Falls: a perspective most visitors never reach. Then you board the Niagara City Cruises boat (May–December, replaced by Niagara Takes Flight in winter), which sails through the Niagara Gorge toward the base of the Falls, where you feel the mist and hear the thunder of the cascading water. A poncho is included to protect you from the spray.
The return journey includes a scenic drive along the Niagara River Parkway, often called one of Canada's most beautiful drives, before your guide returns you to your downtown Toronto hotel. The full day is eight hours from pickup to drop-off.
