BBQ in Córdoba: Rooftop Asado with 360° City Views
Cook an Argentine asado while the sun sets over the Sierras de Córdoba
This four-hour activity teaches you how to prepare and cook an Argentine asado (the ritual grilling of meat that defines Cordoban culture) on a rooftop terrace 24 stories above the Güemes neighborhood. You light the fire, learn which cuts go on the grill and in what order, and eat what you've cooked alongside wine, empanadas and fernet with coca. A live English-speaking guide walks you through the process from start to finish. Children from age 3 are welcome.

The experience
What sets this apart is the 360-degree view: from the terrace you see both the Sierras de Córdoba and the city spread below, and the sunset happens while you're cooking. The experience starts the moment you light the fire. While the grill heats, you begin with a picada (salamí, cheese, cold blood sausage and homemade bread), followed by homemade empanadas. Then comes the meat: chorizo, blood sausage, gizzard, pork matambre, rib and vacío, each one prepared and cooked in front of you so you understand how the cuts behave on the heat.
You learn the roasting process by doing it, not watching. The guide shows you how to manage the fire, when to move meat closer or farther from the heat, and how the ritual works in Cordoban life. This is how friends gather, how the meal unfolds, what makes it matter beyond the food itself. Malbec wine from Escorihuela Gascón winery accompanies the roast, and fernet with coca (the local way to finish a meal) comes after. You can season with chimichurri, add grilled vegetables and salads, and the meal ends with an alfajor cordobés: dulce de leche between two caramel cookies from El Nazareno, a Córdoba institution. Bottled water is included. Beer and an extra drink are available for USD $15.
