The experience
The route follows Bustillo Avenue for 60 km along Nahuel Huapi Lake, skirting mountains and native forests to reach the first major stop: Cerro Campanario. From the 1,050-meter summit, reachable by optional chairlift, you get a 360-degree panorama that National Geographic ranked among the world's eight best views. Back on the road, the tour passes San Eduardo Chapel, a small stone structure set in forest, then the Llao Llao Hotel with its golf course and private reserve, before entering the Llao Llao Municipal Reserve for two easy guided walks totaling about an hour.
The second half of the day moves through a series of viewpoints: Bahía López overlooks the López and Goye hills; Punto Panorámico opens onto the full sweep of lakes and mountains; Lake Moreno Viewpoint and Laguna El Trébol mark the traditional circuit's end. Each stop is brief enough to keep the pace moving but long enough to absorb the scale of the landscape. The guide walks with you through the reserve and points out the forest itself: native trees, the terrain, what makes this corner of Patagonia distinct.
The tour finishes in Colonia Suiza, a small village 25 km from downtown Bariloche at the base of Cerro López. You have about two hours of free time to walk the streets, eat lunch at one of the local cafés, sample regional specialties, or browse craft stalls and gift shops. The return journey retraces Bustillo Avenue back to the city center, arriving around 5:30 PM.

Is this one for you?The fixed schedule and guided pace work for families and mixed fitness levels, since the hikes are easy and the stops are short. If you want to set your own pace or spend longer at any single viewpoint, a private tour or self-guided drive would suit you better.
