The experience
The tour starts with pickup from your hotel and heads toward the Cántaros Waterfall, then follows the shores of Lake Mascardi with views across the water. The vehicle passes through the Vuriloches valley and a shady forest before reaching the Black Glacier, where the tour ends at the foot of the mountain.
Cerro Tronador's name comes from the sound of its hanging glaciers and eternal snows: the reason visitors keep returning to see it themselves. The peak holds three distinct summits where the borders of Argentina and Chile meet, making it a landmark of the region's geography.
