A rum-making masterclass at Galleon Beach in Antigua where you taste six house-made rums, then use a still to create and bottle your own 750ml blend with a personalized label. The class runs 90 minutes with a live English-speaking guide, and two people share one still and take home one bottle together.
The Experience
You arrive at the distillery and spend the first part of the class tasting five different locally made rums—learning how each one tastes, what flavors the distiller chose, and why. Then you move to the still. Working with one other person at your station, you select from the available flavors and ingredients, measure them out, and run the distillation process yourself. The guide walks you through each step, explaining what's happening inside the still and why the order matters.
Once your blend is ready, you pour it into a full-size 750ml bottle and design a personalized label for it. That bottle is yours to carry home—the thing you made, not a souvenir of the place. The whole experience is built around doing the work, not watching someone else do it. You leave knowing how rum actually gets made, not just how it tastes.
