The boat leaves from a floating restaurant that is also someone's home. You arrive anytime between 8 AM and 4 PM — there's no fixed departure, which means you can sleep in or time it around the rest of your day — and the owner's family is there to greet you. They live on the water in Rach Vem village, and this isn't a staged cultural moment; it's their actual kitchen, their actual pier, their actual life. You'll see the fishing nets, the way the house sits on the water, the rhythm of how they work.

The boat ride to Starfish Beach takes you past the working village and out to water so clear you can see the seafloor. You get time to swim, snorkel (gear is provided), and walk the beach itself — there's no rushing you back. The starfish are real; you'll see them in the shallows. When the scheduled return time comes, the boat picks you up and brings you back to the floating restaurant, where five seafood dishes are waiting: grilled fish with homemade pepper sauce, crab fried rice, grilled squid, your choice of crab or prawn prepared three ways, and grilled scallops with green onion and peanuts. One drink is included. The meal is made fresh from what local boats bring in, and you eat it where the family eats, looking out at the same water you just swam in.
